Cornelius Varley
The 810B might be OK for lunar photography but the 820K only has a 320x240 cmos sensor and isn't very sensitive (10 lux). You can check out the suitablity of webcams for astro use on this site Web-Cameras.Peter
Simon1990
As I understand, the ToUcam is fantastic due to it's sony CCD sensor which has excellent low-light capabilities. Meade have a webcam types imaging system out for £30-50, which has a CMOS sensor, but I don't think people rate them very well. As long as the ToUcam has a CCD sensor you should be ok, as they all use the same one! There is a list of all the other webcams which have a CCD sensor in them, but they are generally regarded as inferior for astro use. Only the Toucam Pro has a CCD sensor, other Toucams have a CMOS sensor and some only have a 320 x 240 resolution. The two webcams mentioned are a Toucam II (not Pro) and a Toucam Fun, neither are useful for astroimaging. The 810b might be ok for lunar photography.Peter
