Linux stacking software???

Is there a simple image stacking programme available which would run on an Asus laptop with Linux installed, not windows? I would like to play around with a bit of processing but don;t have access to a PC currently at home

The only one I know of is Astrostack which also runs on windows and macs. There is a free demo and the full program costs $39.

Thanks Peter. Have downloaded the free demo but think I need to install Java aswell so will have to sort that first. Hope I can get it working but thanks for the link

There is a set of astro plugins for GIMP

which I did manage to install once.

There is also the Java based ImageJ (http://www.astro.physik.uni-goettingen.de/~hessman/ImageJ/Book/)

which I keep meaning to try but never have.

Registax (v4) works well under wine .... haven't tried v5.

wine (Wine Is Not an Emulator) is a linux application providing an windows API under which many windows programs will run. Registax is an easy one to get to work.
