Overcast in France

I am staying at Les Grange with Olly to learn the basics of imaging. Unfortunately the weather is not cooperating and we are doing more theory than practice. However, last night we were blessed with a break in the clouds and were able to enjoy the glorious sky that is the norm in Provence. We set out to capture an image of the Beehive cluster before moonrise and with Olly's help I managed to take my first image which is attached. Hope you like it half as much as I do.

A lovely image - velvet blacks (if only!!!), sharp as a whistle and vivid star colours too.....

Geoff had a clear run till the blue then the clouds came back and gave a giant halo round each bright star. Grrrr... It allowed for some Photoshop doodling though!
