Focal reducers?

Out imaging the moon last night with my LPi in the 6 Newt. The moon is too big to fit in the LPi's FOV so, forgive the simple question, would a focal reducer help me in reducing it's size to fit?

What sort of 'powers' do focal reducers come in?

Yes it would, but it'll move the focus point inwards - which can be an issue with Newts...

Think mines a 1.6x reducer.

How about imaging the moon in two panes and using Microsoft ICE or IMERGE to join them together?

The screw-in webcam type ( Atik etc) are usually x0.5.

The Meade/ Celestron (SCT fittings) are x0.63/ x0.33

The Optec Next Gen etc do a x0.5 in 2" fitting, but are at least twice the cost of the Meade/ Celestron.....
