Lovely. The moon is very faint, almost ghostly, I like the effect.

Nice, I like this shot a lot. The moon is a fantastic object to observe, very underrated and overlooked target as people go more for the DSO's. The great thing is it changes every day as it goes through it's lunar cycle. Check out the shadows cast along the terminator, the detail can be stunning.....

I know. The detail on the moon is amazing. Overlooked so offenly. It is always different, and there is alwas so much to look at. The whole sky is amazing, but when we have so much beauty so close to us, it seems a shame not too.

Keiran, have you tried your Neximage camera on it?

Not yet! I really need to get round to it, I have spoken to FLO and I am hopefully going to be getting the goto upgrade for my eq5 by next week.

I will have a try may be tonight.

Go for it! Even if you're moving the mount by hand you should get some good shots. All being clear, I'll be out with the Meade LPi targeting the moon as well. Will be interesting to compare the results.
