M109 with my refractor

Can you tell me what the apperture is of your scope that took the picture because I'd like to know what to expect from my 127mm Ed APO triplet when I eventually get to use it.

M109 Is a splendid Barred Spiral Galaxy, and you have a produced great picture of it Franck.

I use the Takahashi TSA 120 APO and the CCD Atik 314L+.

If you want to get the same result, you have to get in first time right location home about the pollution and in second time good mount and after that to do right processing.

Sounds daunting for a newcomer like myself.

Viewing will be from an inland Spanish location that has little light polution.

As for the photography and processing " I haven't even thought about that" at the stage i am at.
