First Deep Sky Image - M45

Aside from a pretty poor M42 this is the first DSO I've attempted to capture. It's a single exposure (15 secs) of M45. It's pretty lame compared to the work of proper imagers - but I've taken the first step I guess !!

Thanks all

Gear wise it was an Evostar 120, EQ-6 unguided and Canon EOS30D at prime focus.

I have to say that this is only really third proper time out with this scope (in 8 weeks of cloudy skies!).

I've also been playing with the the neximage on saturn, but I need to get more magnification and work out how registax works! My last effort really wasn't a wonder of the solar system

I'm going to take a long old run at imaging - adding bits as required; I'll just keep plugging away with an ever improving setup until I get there. As said, the most important thing is to enjoy it, and that I am.
