Travel Telescope

Hi everyone,

I am going to the Caribbean soon and would like to take a scope with me. I will also be taking my QHY8 and was hoping to get some good DSO images under the dark skies.

I have a CPC 925 which my wife tells me I cannot take. Can anyone recommend a good scope to take for the purpose of taking DSO images. I have thought about the Celestron 4SE but would welcome your input.

Hi.

I'm off to Portugal in a few days & am taking my Celestron 5SE.

The tube fits quite easily in as hand luggage & the motorised mount is going in the suitcase.I'm not taking the tripod,so will be using as a "table top" scope but the legs do come out of the tripod so even the tripod could be taken if wanted.

I've not used a 4SE but I would imagine thats its a caplable little scope if my 5SE is anythng to go by..A fantastic,lightweight & easliy portable little scope.

Yes, a Mak is great to travel with. 127 mm is tops.

Else you could go with an 80ED...
