Mars and the Beehive, Orion

A chilly night out with the AstroTrac and Pentax ist. The light pollution and snow covering the ground reflecting the light pollution certainly increased the 'ambiance' and difficulty in removing the background gradient. Any advice on light pollution removal? These used Photoshop levels, set dark point as using a synthetic flat removed a lot of the good star colouration.

A great couple of images Sherri the focus is spot on. I think on wide shots with stuff in the foregorund it's better to keep things natural with the light pollution showing. If you attempt to remove it the foreground objects will be look odd.
