I see Astronomiser have a backlog at the moment, found this guy too DSLR Astro Mod ~ Digital SLR Modifications for Astronomical Imaging but he seems to be £50 more expensive to perform the Baadder filter replacement for some reason.

Good choice the 1000D superb VFM ... got a lot more going for it for astro use...

Kev thats about waht they go for these days but there may be a spate of 2nd hand ones about with the recent flurry of new canons I was luck bought early when the IS lens was part of the kit and before the Price hikes of early 2009..
