This might be a daft question but i thought that if you wanted to use you're appo scope for terresstial viewing you had to by an erect image diagonal if this is the case then why is everything the right way up when being viewed through my megrez 90 ? :) I had better add that this was when trying out a uwan eye piece with a wo 2'' dialectric diagonal.

Vince - when we met recently you mentioned vibration problems with your HEQ5

There are a few threads I found about it here....

http://stargazerslounge.com/equipment-discussion/46978-thoughts-equipment-addict-views-mounts-scopes-vibration.html

and here

http://stargazerslounge.com/equipment-discussion/85437-eq6-high-power-vibration.html

These refer to EQ6 and HEQ5 - I cant remember if you said you had the GoTo version - these threads seem to sugget the GoTo/Syntrek versions dont get vibration from the motors which is what I thought.

I never see it on my HEQ5 even with a very large heavy newt sat on it.

Mel

ps thanks for a great deal on the scope - I drove off to my sister who had decided to go out and not tell me grrrrrr - so I have the scope for a week myself but I would bet we dont get a single clear night :)
