storing my Telescope in my shed

hi all ive been storing my scope in my shed , is it normal for the bolts on the tripod to start rusting , im kinda worried because i dont want my kit ruined :)

if anyone could suggest anything or maybe if its normal for the bolts to start rusting

i would really appreciate it thankyou

The air in a shed will be quite damp most of the time so rust is normal.

The scope will be better off covered to keep dust off, but use a porous cover such as an old bedsheet. Don't use a tarp as it will trap condensation. Then get a small de-humidifier from B & Q or similar. They don't consume much power and your corrosion problems will be over.
