M1 - Crab captured with C11

First clear sky since first week of Jan,

Tried the C11 and Atik 314+ on the Crab nebula using narrowband under a full moon, guiding affected by light gusts of wind, need an observatory . Processed in HST, hopefully will get more subs and reduce the noise.

Nice shot! Colours great and the fine detail is there! This image is not an easy one to capture! I hear you re the wind! Its amazing how small gusts can really nock th guiding about!

The observatory (not decided what type yet) is going to be my summer project , hoping a stable pier and shelter will help the long FL images .

Wind and a C11 go together like black forest gateaux and a rough sea crossing! You did really well with this. The nebula looks stunning and spectacularly 3D.

Spot on Olly , throw in a mount with high PE (thankfully quite smooth) and it takes real enthusiasm to persevere.

I try not to look at the star shapes too closely.
