Ummm, I've found Avistack a lot slower than Registax ... it's great for solar & lunar surface detail but I've not had any success with planets.

Ah you taking planetry or lunar images?

As Registax is fine in handling this without hanging the PC - unless you have an old PC with limited processing power and RAM.

If as I suspect you are using it on DSO's it is awful on anything wide field with lots of stars... Deep Sky Stacker is the thing to use for this.

thanks guys i think ive sorted the problem due to the images beenin all over the place and large files its had problems doing the job i managed to get some images with tele polar aligned and regi sorted it though it took some time stacking the files avi are alot quicker thanks again
