I wish my 75-300mm lens was IS. I'd love to take it outside and use it on its own for everyday images. But handheld i cant push the lens past about 200mm before my images blur (Not to mention how sensitive focusing is at that length). You would think for a lens that cost half the price of the camera itself that the lens would be IS.

Over here, the IS version of the 75-300mm costs about 500 euro. I paid 650 euro for the camera. I imported it from UK. Over here...the 450D (with 18-55mm kit lens) costs about 800 euro.

I use a Sigma 100-300 f/4EX DG APO HSM ( phew... ) and its pin sharp all the way to 300mm..

Its a cracking scope and comes up on fleabay for £400 quite often..
