Had a clear slot for a couple of hours on Sunday night so grabbed some M42 (my first this season) quite misty so LP was worse than usual so I limited shots to 45 seconds, this was OK for the core but has limited the outer nebulosity, still an image is an image in these spartan times for me :) ......here's the result.

71 x 45sec subs

31 Darks

31 Flats

31 bias

ISO800 ED80 & Modified Canon 1000D with CLS Filter

Currently have a backlog of nearly 5gb of data due to naff flats, this is the first image of the backlog I have processed :D

Good result! You have quite a bit of faint nebulosity in the outer part despite limiting the time on the subs. I can't help thinking you could have got a bit more with longer subs and shot some shorts for the trapezium. Is the LP really that bad? This looks great.
