Is anyone using the Sky-Watcher 8-24mm Zoom Eyepiece?

How does it perform?

I had one briefly last year. It seemed okayish apart from two problems. The field of view is very restricted at the low power end, only 40deg AFOV. And mine suffered with false colour off axis. Both were enough reason for me to sell it pretty quickly. Certainly not an all in one replacement for a couple of good eyepieces.

Have you considered the Meade zoom? I have one and am very impressed with it's crisp views and good contrast. Fob is a bit narrow but it's a great eyepiece

The Sky @ Night review also liked the Meade zoom, so that sounds like a good one. And everyone seems to rave about the Hyperion zoom....but it's quite pricey.

My Skywatcher may have been a duffer to be honest as the Sky @ Night review didn't think it was too bad. Not the best but not bad.
