registax problem

it wont load any of my avi s every time i try it freezes ive tryed redownloading !!!!!!!!! any ideas

think im gettin some where though now says failed to decompress avi i turn off extened avi mode !

right i got it working i think is my file to big i had a go at imaging mars 60fps at 3 min aprox 8000 frames 2.90gb

Have you got extended mode, > 2Gb ticked ? Can you play the AVI by double clicking on it ? What OS are you running on ?

im running on vista thanks for your help i will let you know how i get on the setting ive got on vista and 2g though still says failed to decompress at about 40%

Registax has problems when the filesize is over a certain size Toby (2G for me). With my DMK, I now limit to about 90 secs at 30 fps which always works as it's less than 2G filesize. For me, switching on the extended mode (which does allow me to process the files) in Registax causes processing speed to drop from 70fps to around 15fps. 2700 frames should be enough to get as much detail as the UK's murky skies will allow...

right ok this is interesting so if i short one of my files and give that ago how do i shorted a file ive just downloaded vdub

right next problem ive tryed using vdub to shortn the file when i do in regi when i click debayer mars disapers lol ive had enough of this lol

I've not tried this with the latest version but it used to be the case that you could capture smaller AVI's, select them in explorer and drag and drop them into Registax. Registax will then work on the individual AVI's but treat all of the frames in them as a single capture. I think that's how it worked anyway. Been a while since I used this technique to be honest.
