Help with TouCam

Recommended Posts

I have a toucam webcam with the nose piece and taken some lovely avi's of the moon with my SW150 and created some ok images.

My question is how do I take an avi of the whole moon or avi's of closer craters etc?

At the moment i fit the webcam in place of an eye piece.

If you want the whole moon you will need to make a mosaic, stitching various overlapping images together.

The usual way to increase image size with a webcam is to use a Barlow lens.

Out here now trying to image Mars.

All I get is a white blob on the screen?

I have tried adjusting sime of the sliders (Brightness etc) but its still all I see.

I have focused so the the white blob is as small and round as I could get.

Am I doing something wrong?

Yes, similar with me too. I can image (using the Toucam adapter through an ETX70) but because I have to replace the eypience with the Toucam adapter I only get a very small part of the sky.

Is there a way that I can put the Toucam through an eyepiece?

Sorry if I am missing something obvious.

Thanks,

Simon
