M36,M38 & a couple of friends!

Taken on Friday night, it's a mix of 120,240 and 480 second images. The scope was the ZS66 with a modded 350d (& FFII). I was amazed at the amount of nebulosity in this area!

It's the first image that I have enhanced with the aid of the most excellent 'Photoshop Astronomy' book - I enhanced the stars quite a bit, normally I just leave them alone!

Anyway see what you think, it would not surprise me if I post this then decide that I have pushed it too far:icon_confused:

It does cost a fortune but it really is worth the money!

I cut back the red a little more, I think it looks a bit better now...
