So the Synta ED's really are a true bargain and absolutely the closest you'll get to a full monty Apo in the sub £500 bracket. Plus at £295 delivered for the ED80 Pro 1, it's actually sub £300.

And whos to say that Synta (Skywatcher), having launched the affordable APO bandwagon, won't come back with an improved version that starts it all over again.

A Canadian Astro mag, its a good place for Skywatcher news. They ran a joint ad this month for the new ED60 and the "improved" ED80s. I forgot to mention it in the ED60 thread.
