robneath
Some advice needed - I have a pair of Leica 10 X 50 Ultravids, originally bought for bird watching. The problem I now face is that without a suitable adaptor I can't mount them on a tripod. So do I buy the adaptor (£65) and use that ot do I look for an alternative? I will say the view through them at the night sky is very good. Btw I still like watching magpies etc through them
Solar B
I would definately recommend buying the adaptor as nothing elsecosting less than 1K could possibly come close to giving youthe quality views that your Leicas offer.Brian
FLO
.... do I buy the adaptor (£65) and use that ot do I look for an alternative? The Leica adapter is a cumbersome affair but I reckon it would be worth having and considerably cheaper than changing to another easier to mount binocular with a similar optical quality. robneath
thanks for that guys, I'm going down the adaptor route. I wasn't sure if it would be suitable as it does look cumbersome, but I'm happy now it will be.
ollypenrice
A guest passed me a pair of bins this summer saying he could see the Veil in them. I had a look and just thought...Whaaaaat are these??? Had a look. Leicas. Never EVER seen anything like them. There was colour in M31, powdery fine-ness in the Milky Way, ohhhh....why do they have to be so expensive?Olly
