Jupiter & 3 Moons

Just a quick pic of Jupiter.

Taken through my 8" scope using my camera phone.

Seeing was poor that low and the trees kept getting in the way.

I was quite pleased that I managed to pick out 3 of the Moons.

Last night Jupiter look like it had 6 moons as 2 field stars TYC 5575-473-1/979-1 were very close.

Yes, it did look "busy" around Jupiter last night, couldn't seperate moons from stars hardly

Nice one Ian you can see the Shape of Jupiter too in the image

Observed Jupiter last night with the 10" observed TYC 5575-473-1/979-1 also looked great in the eyepiece.

Ahh so I wern't going mad then, I counded 6 'moons' around Jupiter last night, couldn't decide whether I was seeing things or if they were stars lol!
