Hi from me as well - Greece has great skies - I am doing an article at the moment on binocular astronomy in Greece. Great views - get yourself some decent 10x50 binos next time you go and amaze people with the views

Astro_Baby, I have just got some cheap Bresser 10x50's and they really do offer some great night time viewing for the cost. I received them yesterday and was lucky to have some clear skies for some of the night.

Hi Martin - welcome to SGL. I can only dimly remember my one and only trip to Greece and have to agree - the skies are ink black there and nothing like the sort of darkness we get here. So here you are, with a new hobby and a great 'scope. Looks like you have pastimes for both day and night now !
