Tryed Pointing Accuracy Enhancement earlier and it didnt work!

Was aiming for M57 so chose Vega as the refrence star, centered it as per instructions hit ESC for 2 secs and Enter to accept, slew to M57...nowhere near - back to Vega...nowhere near ?? Tryed this 3 times then it chucked a fit and the hand set started showing randem letters and numbers. Powerd down and restarted and it had lost all the data . ...Long,Lat etc..any ideas?

Have you checked the power supply and lead?

If you can get it turned on again, I would clear the PEC data and start again.

Do you have the latest Synscan software? ( 3.25 ) I think V3.10 and earlier had bugs in the Pec training facility.
