Mare Humorum 7 June

Moon's been hazy for several nights. It was just a bit less hazy last night but some atmospheric turbulance so I took a few afocal images.

They turned out better than I thought, so here's one of the Mare Humorum. This sea is 391 by 391 km

200x mag with 50% crop, only slight tweak in Registax and a bit of Photoshop gaussian blur.

Thanks guys. I was pleased to be able to post an image with the state of the recent skies.

As Phil says, the moon was really boiling last night. But desparation had set in and I had to have a go.

I know I've slagged off my little Richo R1V compact digital in the past, but I think it has been user error!

The quick 3 shot exposure bracketing facility I think helped, as I managed to get a few images that were not 'boiled'
