Darth Takahashi
Well its been quite a while since I have posted any images. Last night the sky was reasonably clear so whilst waiting for Jupiter to come around to the south I imaged M13 and M57.Mount: EM200 USDIIITelescope: Mewlon M250Camera: Kiss 2X (450D)Thinking about it, these are the first astro images taken with the Kiss 2X.Seeing was good, however, transparency was poor to average. On the night there was some thin high level cloud.Nearly through the computer in the pond at the back of the garden because when Jupiter came around and I plugged the SPC900 web-cam in it came back with the now familiar DRIVER HELL SITUATION, blumming VISTA. That's the last thing you want at 0:10 when you have a window of approx 20-30mins to capture Jupiter!Anyway, that's for another night now!Hope you like the images.Neil. Beardy Bob
Huzzah! Very nice images. I was just tweaking mt M13 from last year - how time flies! Good colour in M57. Is that just cropped or did you use a barlow?
Darth Takahashi
No its not cropped and no barlow was used. The Mewlon M250 is a 10" Dall-Kirkham Cassegain telescope with a focal length of 3000m.That combined with the 1.6 crop factor for the Kiss 2X (450D) gives you a nice image size for these small nebula's.Best RegardsNeil. Darth Takahashi
Thanks for the nice comments guy's, yes it is a nice scope but very difficult to work with at 3000mm in our Northern European weather conditions. Would love to give it a proper run out under Southern European / Arizona type conditions
