04:15am is one of those awkward times for me - about 2 hours later than I like to stay up, or 2 hours earlier than I like to get up. I need a good few days off work to tackle all nighters! Always nice to see Orion though.

This is my first year of having a scope in over 10 years (the last one was a 4.5" reflector but with very poor EP's) - I can hardly wait. Good post ! - It reminds me that I need to go and hunt out my woolly hats and thick winter gloves !

Ah, winter! I can normally get a bit of observing in from work when the skies get really dark and I don't have much to do!

I saw Orion rising the other morning at 0320, as I was putting my stuff away after a nice long sesh. Always good to see him again, with the promise of long observing sessions (weather permitting of course!).
