M76 - The Little Dumbbell

Image: 40 X 300secs at ISO800

Camera: Canon 1000D moddel

Telescope: Skywatcher 250px, 10" reflector

Autoguided: QHY5, EQ6 Syntrek, ST80

Software: Guidemaster, PHD, DSS, Paint Shop pro

M76 is a planetary nebula about 3500 light years away (though there's apparently lots of discussion on how far away it is so it's not really known). This was shot at the Salisbury Star Party on the evening of the 21 Aug. The result is heaps better than my attempt at M76 last year.
