starscy
Woke up early this morning and took the opportunity for a quick look in Auriga to observe the open clusters M36/M37/M38. With M36 in the centre and M37 and M38 near the edges all three appeared in the same field of view in 10x50 binoculars and although partly resolved they have comet like appearances. Talitha
Don't you just love it when there's more than one target in the fov? Makes me feel like i'm getting a bargain. There's a really cute (and big!!) smileyface in Auriga next to M38. It always makes me laugh no matter how many times i see it. Here's a crop from an old 35mm film shot i took a bazillion years ago. Give the smile a try.. i bet you'll start grinning, too.
