IC1396... HaRGB

Having seen Ollys I didnt thinkthere was much point in psoting this one.. 2 Hours of "historic" RGB form the firstlight with the Megrez 72 FF III (un filtered Canon 350D) and 2 hours of HA with the 35nm filter fom lastnight with the BCF modded 1000D...

Again Registar and CS3...

Well worth posting IMO Peter, lovely detail and colours.

BTW I went for this target last night and failed miserably for a host of stupid reasons which taught me some valuable lessons.

Wait till later in the year ... hopefully we'll get a chance for some better imaging grab more RGB and Ha when Luna isnt around should help pop it a bit...

Thats a great image Peter, I didn't realise the the Megrez 72 had such a wide field.

It's a crop as well George there more to come.. The 72 with the FF III gives a very useful FOV...Unfortunately the Ha and RGB data didnt line up that well so had to make do with the intersection of the data sets...

Very nice Peter, well worth posting imo. As Olly noted, this one is really dim, takes a lot of exposure to get it properly. In my mosaic, it's actually considerably dimmer than even the Coccoon.

I tried that target last night and couldn't even find it!

I could set up and read the bubble level and camera buttons by Moon light!
