Very topical. I just got my ZS70 today. I'm well chuffed too! The dovetail is a bit short and it is tailheavy when fitted with 2" diagonal and 2" eyepiece, but not umanageable. I bought mine to use a grab'n'go scope on a photographic tripod or my Giro III mount. As the supplied foot fits both a tripod and Vixen-style dovetail, sorted! Eventually I'm going to use it as a guide scope for my Megrez 90.

well on the subject of new zs 70 what will you be keeping yours in trying to find a suitable bag for scope and camara any ideas

Mine came with the WO fitted aluminium carry case. However, for carting it about, I'm planning to buy a Lowepro photographer's backpack. Lowepro | Home
