I am not an expert by any means.

Yes I have modified one on my sons Vixen SP mounts which the original vixen motors fixings had been broken by removal men when he moved house.

I used the motors for an EQ-5 mount.

It does entail making two brackets to to fix it to the SP.

They actually work better than the Vixen mount carrying a greater load.

I believe the worm gear ratio on the Vixen is 144:1, so any motor from a mount with similar ratio's will work.

I used a set of GM8 motors on a Televue Carton mount ( the original TV Genesis mount) worked 100%.

Thanks guys i got a great deal on a gp with motors so the sp is going cheap
