M63 SUNFLOWER GALAXY

This is really a test one to see how the Galaxy would look at such a wide field , ,its ok , but ithink i need to get closer to obtain some better detail on it, but having said that i,m happy with the result ,

Taken with the Atik 16hr and ED80 , HEQ6 and Skyscan .

Sub were 26 x 2 mins , binned 2x2 processed in Maxim and Photoshop.

As a test shot, it's fine, nought wrong with it.

Yes, maybe to get more detail, you could try the same wide field, but alter the exposure, then merge the two?

I can't see anything wrong with it, in fact it looks exactly like the SNP image. If you get closer you will see more detail and what?

Are you saying that you're not happy because the image scale doesn't suit it, or that there's some kind of image fault? If it's the scale thing, then your test worked fine and the image is great, if it's the other thing, I can't see anything wrong with it.

I like it a lot too

To me its seeing an object in its own part of space and gives a much more

realistic sense of size and perspective that you would expect at the eyepiece.

Get closer by all means but keep getting the wides as well, just for me

Hi Martin,

welcome back mate , yes waiting for Bern , he is sorting out some guiding ,when thats done i can use the Ed 80 at f7.5 for longer exposures, and even maybe use the gps8 as well
