A Very nice widefield Franck, and the galaxy sits nicely in there.

The Supernova sn2001x sits at one end of the bar of this galaxy.

A fine image.

I've done half a job on clearing the clutter in the background just to see if the subject stands out a bit more.

Franck, It was Cloudwatcher who did a re process on your image.

Hopefully he will explain what he did, he usually does when asked.

Hi,CW here but you can call me Ron if you like.

Not a lot to tell really on the processing front...... I used the exposure tool in PhotoShop CS to reduce the Gamma level then just played around with levels and curves then a bit of sharpening and saturation........ thats about it......... my time was limited so only did half the job.

Looks good to me, maybe more subs could bring back the detail you want??

Any Bias frames? ... they should reduce the amount of banding significantly... making the rest of the post processing a little bit easier... as would flats...
