Hi All,

Been getting to grips with the C8 on the Crescent over the last few nights. Its been quite a tricky one at this focal length, but it seems to be working.

Heres a first cut:

2009-06-23-NGC6888-Ha33x191-OIII30x212-Hb18x200-Process1-Small.jpg

The stats:

Ha 33 x 191 as R

OIII 30 x 212 as G

Hb 18 x 200 as Blue

Quite please with the results so far - need lots more data though to smooth it out - would be nice if I could up the exposure length as well.

Cheers, and thanks for looking,

Richie

The focal length (effective with Focal Reducer) is 1260mm, this was taken with an SXV-H9, so no ISO/Shutter length, etc.

The image was slightly cropped to remove the misalignment of the frames between nights. I shot this over 3 nights.

Hoping to get some more subs tonight and over the weekend.

Cheers,

Richie

Update for ya.... Got a new bar for the C8, Baader one - fits perfectly.

I am now able to crank up the exposure time :)

Currently taking 300 second OIII subs - I've also added some 300 second Ha subs, and been a bit more ruthless with the data from the other days. Because of the different exposure times added in here, Maxim is adding it all up and giving an average exposure time :headbang:
