Total Eclipse of the Sun 29th march 2006

I have taken a few photos of the eclipse of the Sun at Side ( right bang on the centre line ) in Turkey. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and would recommend anybody who hasn't seen one to really try and see one.

The April edition of the BBC programme the Sky at Night  was shot at Side. The programme is excellent, but it has not got the atomsphere, the amazing temperature drop and the length of time it took the temperature to climb back to where it was prior to Totality. Everybody on the plane home were raving about the event.

Anyway, the next one is on 1st August 2008 and will last 2 minutes and 27 seconds tracking North Canada, Greenland and ending in North China.

And then there is one on 22 July 2009 lasting 6 minutes and 38 seconds, tracking North East China and the Pacific.

Cheers

Adrian
