Nice job, although I think it would be improved if the background was not so dark.

Also if you use photoshop, try going to IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>MATCH COLOUR

And push up the intensity, it will bring out even more lovely colour :icon_salut:

Perhaps this is only available in certain versions, I have CS2.

If this is unprocessed, then ignore my comment about the background :icon_salut:

Not sure why its so black then, maybe upping the ISO as Deneb suggests would help.

Hopefully someone more experienced can comment on that one!

I took Ron's tweak and made some more tweaks :icon_salut:

Hope you dont mind!!

This one I desaturated the background to -50 (after using the wand tool to deselect the stars)

Then ran Noels deep space noise reduction on the same background selection.

The intensity is here:

IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>MATCH COLOUR (2 options below Hue/Saturation)

But you may not have this in your version of PS.

This function is great for boosting the colour without adding so much noise to the image.

A method you could use though is this:

Duplicate layer

Boost saturation on the new layer (play with various amounts of saturation)

Change blend mode on new layer to COLOUR or SATURATION (do this where it currently says NORMAL)

You can then also adjust the layer opacity to reduce the effect if needed.

Play with various settings of saturation vs. opacity.

Let me know if any of that doesnt make sense :icon_salut:
