Self Levelling compound....?

Quick question on the pier.....

Would self levelling compound be OK to use at the top of the concrete pier - just to provide a nice level top to put the pier adapter onto to?

What do you guys think?

yes

just mix a little plastering or sharp sand with it to give it some extra body and stop it cracking

i would have gone with 3 threaded bars set into the concrete with top plate so fully adjustable if that makes sense
