Lunar 28th May

First item on last nights agenda was to see if the new OO newt could reach focus at prime using the Nikon D40. I unscrewed the optics from an old Skywatcher Barlow and then linked it up to the T ring.

Then the moment of truth……. All worked great!

This is a single frame of the last night’s moon touched up in CS2.

1/80th second at ISO 200.

Cheers

Jon

Very nice Jon

Lovely detail around the squashed hedge hog.

I came up with a similar shot last night with my old trusty 120mm Helios refractor.

I had trouble with contrast around the Mares, not as dark as I would have liked.
