Money Short Direction advice needed

Recommended Posts

Ok so I want to get more out of my 8" SCT mainly visual use with in decending order DSO, Planetary,Lunar interests.

Do I

1. Get a focal reducer 6.3.

2. Get a 2" diagonal and a nice 2" EP.

My current EP's are on my sig line.

Reasons to help my development appreciated.

I may do some Afocal photography at the moment and in a year or so when money is available get a DSLR but my mount is not exactly an astrophotograhers dream.

I found the F/6.3 focal reducer worked very well on my old Celestron C8. If you can pick one up used then it's probably the lowest cost route to a wider field of view.
