m13 short exposures

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone
Remarkably clear and very still an hour or so before sunrise, but managed to resist the temptation of Sagittarius to the south for Hercules which was on the meridian and almost directly above.  I bypassed EKOS' park-before-dawn setting and tried 90s frames until it was too light for comfort.

Slowly forming an opinion upon how long frames should be, but coming to the same conclusion every time. Unfortunately ATM it goes something like, if you have loads of 'em or -especially in this case- if the atmosphere is on your side it doesn't matter. Still thinking...

Thanks for looking and reading.

Looks good @alacant 🙂 and you have managed to get a part of the adjoining galaxy too at bottom.

A couple of your brighter stars have a dark centre, so guessing its something thats happened when you uploaded or converted formats
