Star names

A new member @Flakmunky mentioned that he had named his daughter after a star and it reminded me of something. Back in 2006 one of my boys and his family named a star after me using and old cb name I used mid 70's "rustbucket". 

I wondered if anyone else has a star association?

 

Ps. I do understand that this is a novelty 😉

Nope, but the astronomy professor who was my tutor for my undergrad and masters had an asteroid named in his honour many years after I graduated.

I should try to hunt it down.

I named all the stars, but I gave them all the same name and now there's terrible confusion...

Very true , money for old rope. 

The IAU have  id'd all the known  stars and each has a HD number assigned.

With so many charlatans taking peoples money any one star could have more then one so called owner ( of course they never own the star and it is all just a bit of nonsense).
