1st session of the year! Huge AR in white light

Seems to have been virtually permanent cloud this year. Manged to get a decent look at the naked eye AR currently crossing the Sun.

Fairly reasonable conditions, considering the altitude of the Sun when imaged.

Didn't bother with the C9.25, just the Evostar 120mm due to the altitude. Been so long since the last session, i felt like a beginner again 🙂

60 second SER, stacking 20% in A/S3, sharpened in REG6. Mono and false colour for aesthetic reasons.

I wasted ten minutes this morning trying to figure why the view was all fuzzy and washed out with a bright clear sky ... ?

Nice coat of condensation on both the Barlow and the objective  (both hidden by filters)  will do it after a frosty night ... hairdryer to the rescue ... :happy8:
