The view was a bit fogged with high cloud so the contrast was pegged back, but all in all it was a useful exercise at putting together a multipane image for the first time for me.

Detail: Prime focus QHY5 on C8-N;

6 panes to make up the complete image;

Stacked in Registax 5;

Merged in PS CS3

Thanks for the comments guys.

I've started using Registax 5 now, it seems fairly straightforward to use - as I needed to exclude a number of frames from a couple of the AVI's and managed it without recourse to any help file !!!

One thing I've noticed though is that the final image default save format is BMP? I tend to go for the 16bit TIFF option.
