Thanks Kostas. Just keeping the wheels turning before rust sets in.🙂

I know the feeling. I was out this lunch time to try Venus but it was just awful. Even on the eyepiece it was boiling. I am contemplating if I should stay up for Jupiter or not tonight. I will check Saturn and see how bad it is....

Did you get anything? I didn't realize that next month's opposition will be Jupiter's closest to earth until 2129 😮

I got up and it was all cloudy, and straight back to bed. I tried Venus during lunchtime yesterday but it was awful again in UV (IR  was a marginally better). Although the jetstream is further north, it is killing the seeing. Let's hope November is better.

Thats too bad. I think we should start a petition for Jupiter's opposition to be in June.

Everything looks spot on Stuart. Colour balance is great it's just the UK skies what's hampered you with this one. As you say at least you've kept them wheels going round ready for that elusive window.

Thanks Martyn it's surprising how much longer it takes to set everything up when you've not been out for a while. Even if the clouds roll in and no imaging is possible it's still a  useful exercise.

A well oiled imaging machine is far more likely to catch the best seeing and as we know it only needs a couple of minutes.

Well caught Stuart nice wide field, the conditions have been poor to say the least & don't look much better for the next few days either!

Thanks Simon, I'd hoped after an unsettled late  Summer the autumn would be better than usual but so far it's living up to its usual pattern.
