Meade CST 6”,1525mm mounted on ZWO AM5

This is my beginning setup.  I had the ota as part of a LX65 telescope unit.  I found the setup quite slow and complicated to use for astrophotography.  The ZWO AM5 is easier to control and when I can make the hookup, I will switch to air-cooled color ZWO planetary and deep space cameras.  What I would like is advice on actually using the Nikon with the 6” tube.  I am concerned about focusing the tube as the camera is taking shots.  Has anyone had any experience with this technique?

guess you mean a DSLR, not a Nikon eyepiece  ?

Don't take "shots", use the camera's LiveView to display the star continuously while you adjust the focus.
