First post here, "Hi" to all, with a "counter season" post for the northern hemisphere ...

The main background structures are from a the Ha integration.  The red highlights are also from the Ha data.  The yellow highlights from SII data. Stars from the Ha integration. Calibration, registration, integration in APP, further processing to taste in PS.

Ca. 9 hrs total
Celestron RASA 11
10 Micron GM1000 HPS
SIGMA fp L (monochrome)
Baader Ha/SII ultra-highspeed narrowband filters

A work in progress with the aim of adding more panels on all four sides including some additional filters ...

I've rebuilt the camera train on the RASA 11 (twice) since this data was collected (Winter 22/23) and a couple of panels will need to be reshot.

100% View (16100 x 14000px)

Thanks for taking the time, Mark

Wow! That is simply amazing. Great work. I don't think I have ever seen so much detail in that nebulous region. ❤️

Thanks Mandy, its always exciting to see what the RASA can capture ...

A new take on a familiar scene.  Love all the dusty stuff. Usually its M42 and the Horsehead that steal the show, but in your image they take back seat to the dust clouds.  Well done and welcome to the forum.

Thanks Roy, and thanks (to everyone) for the warm welcome ...
