Heads up....

Just updated the comet data in CdC and tracked C/2022 E3 (ZTF) for a few days and found these two almost on top of each other. East of NGC1499 (California nebula).

Ah... got it... thanks.  I was concerned I wasn't going to find it this evening because I was looking in the wrong spot (first clear night in two weeks !)

should have looked closer at the enclosed.

Great info, thanks.

I’ll pop a link in the Celestial Events Heads up forum.

I've just posted similarly in another thread but you may like to know that C/2022 U2 is likely rather brighter, at mag. 11 according to the BAA page at BAA Comet section (cam.ac.uk). I successfully imaged and viewed it in late Jan, despite strong light pollution from the local football club floodlights! 😊

Regards, Mike.

Mag 11 is certainly better than m16 .

Anyway. My sky is pants now. Not even worth taking the bins out :(

I don't think I've come across that many comet conjunctions. If it had been E3 "infront" there'd have even been an occultation of sorts!
