Whilst I wait for me new toy to arrive, any suggestions from you lot re eyepeices / filters etc that will enhance my viewing pleasure would be very much appreciated .

Does your mount come with drives?

If not then I would get some. It makes observing much easier.

Get a copy of Starry Night Pro, Planesphere, Turn left at Orion(Book), Red Led torch(make your own stick red platic over the fromt of the tourch lens)..

I'd pick up a 32mm or 40mm eyepiece, the Celestrons on Ebay are a very good deal for 10-15 quid.

Thats a stroke of luck if you have!! The EQ6 is a cracking mount. (and worth 3 times the EQ5)

Hmm.....maybe abit hasty there .....but the tri pod is deffo the same as the heq6/eq6

The EQ5 is supposed to come with the same tripod as the HEQ5....

1 1/2" stainless legs up to HEQ5, EQ6 has 2" ones. also, the EQ6 has EQ6 written on it
